Olive wood

A few days ago Jiries and I visited an olive wood factory in Beit Sahour. The factory itself is like a warehouse with many rooms, each with men working on different stages of the production process. The finished carvings made in the factory are a unique product from the area and they are the foundation of the local tourism-based economy. Many people earn their living this way.
