In the summer of 2010 I lived in Beit Sahour (in the West Bank) as an extension of the Tree of Life Journey, the annual interfaith trip organized by the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme. The purpose of my return was to forge a deeper relationship with the community of Beit Sahour, generate awareness of peaceful conflict resolution efforts, and also to demonstrate American support for the plight of the Palestinians. Pictured below is the separation barrier between Israel and the West Bank.
